I know what you mean. I still swing by here once a week (about) to see if there's anything going on. There are a couple members here who also go to my fan forum (http://www.alftv.net/forum) so it looks like mostly everyone is okay. Anyone hear from Luke recently? I hope he is doing alright...
Ya just gotta visit Steve Kimball's Ultimate ALF Website!

All of my ALF Collectibles for SALE « Result #7 on Jun 6, 2006, 9:19pm »
That's right. . . I'm moving out all of my ALF stuff. You can check my Ebay auctions which started tonight. Every day I'll be adding items as I clear my infamous "Wall of ALF."
ALF phones, actionfigures, games, puzzles, licensing materials, clothes, cards, bumperstickers, magnets, magazines, and a TON of comics!
Here is the link to what I have up for auction so far, they'll all be five day auctions with the "buy it now" device in place. I'm putting up all the items that I have MIB, most with original shrinkwrap still attached.
If there's something ALF you're looking for, I might have it. At one point I had over 12,000 ALF items. I'm keeping a few things but most of it's going, going, and eventually gone.
I've started a new Pirate-themed magazine which is due out in September and my love for history, the sea, and the Renaissance has overtaken my love for ALF for the past 7 years. It's time to get these things into the hands of collectors who'd love to have them instead of sitting on my shelf, ignored.

Although I believe it is unlikely that this would happen I have signed it (because I agree with you).
When do you plan on sending it to NBC? The reason I am asking is because I will be creating a new page for my website on "ALF Petitions" and would like to add your petition.

Re: My DVD has arrived!!! « Result #13 on Mar 31, 2006, 8:29pm »
Are you sure you're not thinking of the original vs. syndicated pilot? There IS an un-aired pilot that is not identical to the original or syndicated pilot - many scenes are the same, but there are some (the scene with the military officer for example) that are different.
I am referring to the un-aired pilot, not un-cut. The one shown in 1986 is the un-cut pilot, and the episodes shown on television after the show ended is the syndicated pilot.
However, the season 1 DVD set contains BOTH the syndicated pilot AND the un-aired pilot episode (the un-cut episode shown in September 1986 is not on the DVD set).
I think I'm just explaining this poorly. What I should really be saying is that there are actually THREE pilot episodes.
1) The original un-cut version shown in 1986 2) The syndicated (cut) version of the original 1986 pilot 3) The UN-AIRED pilot that was NEVER shown on television and is only available as a special feature on the ALF season 1 DVD set

I have The Original Pilot Episode and may i just say that it is Identical to this Episode with only 1 Major exception, The Season 1 Pilot is Missing 5 Minutes. The Original UnCut Pilot was shown on Monday September 26 1986 at 8:00 P.M..... and is 26:00 Minutes Long, The Season 1 Pilot Episode is only 20:35 Minutes Long.

Re: Petition For Complete Episodes of Alf « Result #15 on Mar 26, 2006, 5:32pm »
It is very unlikely (as ALF would say: slim and none, and slim is out of town) that Lions Gate Entertainment would release the original non-syndicated episodes on DVD. For them to remaster the originals (or whatever they do to them) to make them DVD quality would take a lot of money, and they would have no chance to make that back with the DVD sales.
To answer your question - yes I would sign your petition. I know that you would get a lot of support with your petition.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to sound "un-optimistic" or anything - who knows, maybe it could work. If you want I could post something on my ALF website - http://www.alftv.net/ - if you choose to create a petition somewhere. Feel free to contact me.

What did you mean by,, UnAired Pilot??
The first episode of the ALF sitcom is the Pilot episode, but there are actually two versions of it - some scenes were redone for the second pilot. This unaired pilot is an added feature on the season 1 DVD set.

The Pilot Episode was Shown on September 26 1986. I have The Original UnCut Pilot and The Rest of the series on Videos. NOTE: They Look their age though. But concidering what Lions Gate put out, I'll take my Jumpy, Sometimes out of Focus 20 Year old Videos Anyday. Or at least untill Lions Gate and Warner Home Video finally Come To Their Senses and release The Originals on DVDs.

Thanks Luke, Season 2 is my favourite as ALF seems to have found his feet and his voice is how we all remember it now. The season contains some of the funniest episodes too, Gilligans Islands anybody?!
